From April 15-19, 2024, PBOC Deputy Governor Xuan Changneng met with the First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Gita Gopinath on the sideline of the IMF/World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C., USA. They exchanged views on global and Chinese economic landscape, and the cooperation between China and the IMF.
Deputy Governor Xuan also met with Mr. Himino Ryozo, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Japan, and Mr. Choi Jiyoung, Deputy Minister of Korea’s Ministry of Economy and Finance (KMOEF) respectively, exchanging views on regional financial cooperation and other issues.
