On May 29, 2024, Dr. Pan Gongsheng, Governor of the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) met with Mr. Pablo Hernández de Cos, Chair of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) and Governor of the Bank of Spain. They exchanged views on the Chinese and the global economic and financial developments, international financial regulatory framework and other issues of mutual interest. Deputy Governor Xuan Changneng participated in the meeting.
Mr. Pablo Hernández de Cos gave a lecture entitled “Open issues in monetary policy and bank regulation and supervision” at the PBOC, and answered questions from staff member of the PBOC and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE). Xuan Changneng chaired the lecture.
